  4. Amber “SHINED” in so many ways, sweet talented, beautiful and kind. Our world will not be the same with out her.Taken by evil with no regard for how precious life is.Our lives forever touched by Amber.I watched from the time she was born ,Troys little “mini me” she looked so much like her Dad.He “adored” her A Daddy’s girl,he spoiled ,loved and gave her all he could. My heart breaks with Stephanie and Troy they did not have enough time with their precious sweet daughter.

  5. Troy and Stephane, I cannot even begin to understand any of this or how heart wrenching this loss is for you:( Troy we have been friends for years and watched you and Stephane raise your Daughter thru the years. Our Children are suppose to outlive us. I PRAY GOD can help you get thru this. I also PRAY they catch the MONSTERS who did this. My heart and my family goes out to you and the family in Prayer and I am here for you even if just to cry on my shoulder. I Love you both, Sincerely in deepest Sympathy, Debbie “Myers” Wiersma

  9. I remember little Amber coming over to our house and playing with Amanda. I was so saddened by this senseless act of violence. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

  10. I did not know Amber, but I am currently a student at PhilaU. She was a senior when I was a freshman. Even several years after her graduation it is obvious to me that she touched many lives while she was here! Please know, from a stranger, that it is clear how much she was appreciated and will truly be missed.

  11. Please accept my prayers and thoughts to your family at this time. When my daughter (Lyneah) called me at work, she was heartbroken. She shared many wonderful memories of growing up with Amber at school and daycare/YMCA . May God Bless you and give you strength. Rest in Peace Amber..

  12. I remember seeing Amber often. I never knew her by name until news broke, but by I knew her from seeing her a lot around campus. Everytime I look at her picture my heart aches. She was so sweet, she always smiled at me when we exchanged paths. She must have worked on campus because I remember seeing a lot of her through the years. We where in the same class, same graduating ceremony. She knew my friends. I only wish we would have gotten more chance to interact, she sounds like such a wonderful person. My heart is with all of those who love her, including all of us at Philadelphia University. Amber, you are now among your own, and can now watch over us and guide us towards a meaningful legacy we can carry for you. Down with Violence and Up with Love!!! Evil can never defeat the power of Love.

  13. Troy and Stephanie: We are so sorry for the loss of Amber. We know how much she has meant to you both and she will be missed by all. 19. My daughter knew Amber from Philly U. I beleived they played frisbee together. She was still facebook friends with her. I cannot wrap my head around this senseless act of violence. As a mother I pray God gives you the strength to get through this. Do not let how she died define her life. Rememeber the good that was. Know many people you never met have you in their thoughts and prayers. She watchs over us now.

  20. My prayers, sympathies and condolences go out to Amber Long’s family. She looked like a very sweet girl with a glowing personality and a smile to light up a room. 21. Dear Stephanie,
I’m so sorry for the tragic loss of your beloved daughter. My two children live in Philly and I was there that day to see them. We go to Northern Liberty sometimes for brunch. My children love Philly the way you said your daughter did. We weren’t in Northern Liberty that day. We stayed in S. Philly. I pray they find the people responsible for the senseless, cowardly crime they committed. May God give you the strength and courage to get through this. May Amber rest in peace and fly among the angels.

  22. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Long family in these dark hours. May you be given the strength and fortitude to press on and take comfort in the love and prayers that surrounds you during your grief. It is my fervent hope that those responsible for this needless violence be brought to swift and certain justice. Tempus fugit – memento mori.

  23. In time may you find peace. I pray that they arrest, prosecute, and make these people think about what a beautiful person they took from this world. Breaks my heart that this violence over material item could cost so much loss..im sorry again for your loss..jason.
